The NALRC in Collaboration with the Indiana University, Bloomington’s Center for International Business Education Research (IU-CIBER) and Title VI National Resource Centers (NRCs) is pleased to announce a

Business in World Languages Workshop

The Business in World Languages Workshop is a week-long training workshop that will train instructors of World Languages/Less Commonly Taught Languages on how to incorporate Business Concepts in World Language Instruction. The workshop will:

  1. Introduce world language instructors to the “World Language Curriculum Framework that Incorporates Business Concept” at all levels of language instruction and train them on how to use the document.
  2. Train language instructors to develop learning plans and scenarios for their language using the Curriculum Framework.
    1. Participants in this workshop will be renumerated to create sample learning plans that will be used in their classrooms and shared with colleagues.
    2. Exemplary learning plans will be included in the World Language Curriculum Framework booklet which will be made available online for free to all K-16 instructors and others who express interest
