Training of Trainers

Annual Training of Trainers Program

Training of Trainers is a two-week intensive program that will allow you to participate in a professional development institute focusing on the following themes: Building Leadership Skills in New Foreign Language Professionals; Developing Different Language Curricular and Learning Plans; Evaluating Language Instruction and Programs; Professionalism; and Becoming an Advocate for World Languages.  This training is done in conjunction with the NALRC Summer Institute but the Training of Trainers participants are required to play a more leadership role in the workshop as a whole.

 

Program Requirement:  Participants are required to have attended either NALRC Institute of summer 2017 or summer 2018 before they can be considered for this program.

May 13-24, 2019

Cost

All participants are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of four hundred and fifty dollars ($450). Participants will also be responsible for their accommodation and other expenses such as transportation and meals. Participants are encouraged to ask for financial support from their respective language program or department chair, coordinator, or supervisor to cover the expenses for this workshop.  They can also apply for scholarship or fellowship from other sources to attend this workshop.

  3. *Two letters of recommendation indicating the importance of the training for the applicant. Send the following link to the supervisor to fill on your behalf for this purpose. 

*Note: One of the letters must be from the applicant’s language coordinator, supervisor, or department chair.
