The NALRC, in Collaboration with Indiana University, Bloomington’s Center for International Business Education Research (IU-CIBER), and IU Title VI National Resource Centers (NRCs), is pleased to announce a workshop on incorporating Business Concepts in World Languages.

This week-long workshop is organized for instructors of World Languages who have had previous training on Backward Curriculum Design. The workshop will:

  • Introduce world language instructors to the “World Language Curriculum Framework that Incorporates Business Concept” at the Elementary and Intermediate Levels of language instruction and train them on how to use the document.
  • Train language instructors to develop learning plans and scenarios for their languages using the Curriculum Framework.
  • Participants in this workshop will be remunerated to create sample learning plans that will be used in their classrooms and shared with colleagues.
  • Exemplary learning plans will be included in the World Language Curriculum Framework booklet which will be made available online for free to all K-16 instructors.

Due to the Covid-19 situation, this workshop will be held virtually.
