We have complied a list of African language teachers who are interested in mentoring new teachers, as well as those who are starting a new African Language Program. When persons interested in finding a mentor contact the NALRC, they are matched up with a possible mentor. The specifics of the mentoring will be handled on a case-to-case basis. If you are in need of a translation and/or interpretation service we have created a list of African language teachers, students, and native speakers who are willing to provide these types of services. The list contains the languages spoken and/or taught, degree of proficiency in each language, and contact information. If you are interested in adding your name to the African Language Resource List, or are searching for a translator, please contact us.
This list currently has resource personnel for the following languages: Afrikaans, Amharic, Arabic, Haya, Kikongo, Kisakata, Kiswahili, Kitaita, Krio, Lingala, Luo, Mandinka, Portuguese Creole, Pulaar, Shona, Siswati, Twi, Wolof, Xhosa, and Zulu.
